Pilarportal.com — London – On December 2nd, the CSB was privileged to support Christmas with The Salvation Army, presented by Music and Arts Ministries (Heather Osmond).
The program filled Roy Thomson Hall with messages of hope for this Christmas season, featuring the Staff Band (led by John Lam) the Staff Songsters (led by Cathie Koehnen), NEON (led by Simon Gough), Ian Sadler on organ, a Festival Chorus, and special guest vocalist, Miriam Khalil.
The Canadian Staff Band, as the other groups, spent the day with set-up and massed rehearsals to support this great event geared to the public.
The band accompanied the sung carols and the guest soloist, joined with the other groups in joyful song, and performed individual pieces, which included “Carol of the Bells” (Warren Brooks), and “City of David” (Phil Rayment).
